What is the inspiration for your business? How did you get started?
I had made a canvas banner for my art fair booth. (I am an oil painter as well specializing in animals) While a lot of people loved my art a lot of people also loved by banner! A friend of mine said “You know you could probably sell those too” and so the idea was born. I decided to focus on weddings because number one I love them so much and number two people are so creative with their weddings and are always looking for new things, so I thought the banners really had a chance to catch on there.
What is your best advice for a bride-to-be?
There are so many options out there you can drive yourself crazy in the beginning picking a style and then second guessing yourself. So, my suggestion is trust your gut! Its your day, if you love something that doesn’t quite fit in your “theme” just get it! it will all work out in the end, if it brings you joy then by all means … add it!
What characteristics does your ideal client carry?
My ideal client would be flexible but have an idea of that they want. I like to design with direction and intent so having a frame work is nice. But I almost always offer multiple options to my clients, so I like when clients are able to have an open mind. On the flip side if you know exactly what you want, try your best to explain it or show references, I want you to be happy so if you have your mind set on something I want you to get it!
What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?
I love to ride horses. I have been riding for 23ish years and I can’t imagine life without horses. I also rode for my University and co-founded our equestrian team. It was an amazing experience with so many great memories.
