I am a bit scattered today, I flew into DC last night and was worn out when I reached home after a full day of traveling which literally followed 20 days of traveling. I am so glad I went, and also glad to be home. So without further delay, here is this week’s featured Friday!
Jennifer and Thelma are the faces behind Infatuating Affairs. Thelma and Jennifer were planning Jennifer’s wedding, Thelma is the logistical genius while Jennifer is the creative genius, together they make a great team! They have known each other nearly their whole lives, and when planning Jennifer’s wedding they realized they had a shared love for weddings and event planning. They compliment each other, where Jennifer is weak, Thelma is strong, and vice versa.
Side note: These two ladies have the cutest style. Jennifer arrived for her head shots wearing this adorable tulle skirt and rocking a leather jacket, while Thelma pulled off a very pretty top bun and high waisted patterned skirt.

What is your best advice for a bride-to-be?
Our best advice for a bride-to-be is to make sure you and your soon to be hunny enjoy every moment possible during your engagement. As a DIY and self-planning bride, I was super consumed with planning my wedding for an entire year and a half! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved every moment of it, but if I could do it again, I would take more trips with my husband while we were engaged, see more things, and make time to do those silly and quirky things we love. Planning my wedding was the most fulfilling project I have ever done, but I also think those moments before you get married and the engagement is such a special time that every bride and groom should enjoy it. We have the rest of our lives to get caught up in to-do lists and diy projects. At that very special moment, my advice to a bride-to-be is simple, let yourself enjoy the roses .
For 2016 Infatuating Affairs would like to book more wedding clients, bridal showers, and continue doing special birthday parties. They also have a goal of being featured in four blogs next year.
What keeps you motivated to face the challenges small business owners face?
Our faith in God and our lord and savior Jesus Christ keep us motivated. Starting a small business is no easy task and it you can easily get discouraged but we put our faith first and keep walking in the direction he’s taking us. Motivation for us also comes from the feelings we get when we are working on growing our business, that magical feeling and joy we get doing something we love keep us working towards our goals. Last, but certainly not least, I would say having each other helps us stay motivated. The friendship Thelma and I have always had is what we both fall back on when we may get a little discouraged. We can call, or text, or send an encouraging not or just get together for drinks and laugh and everything is ok. We help keep each other motivated and pushing forward.
