What is the inspiration for your business? How did you get started?
Creating custom wedding products started as a side hustle several years ago when I made invitations and programs for family and friends. I fell in love with the endless opportunities for creativity with different papers, printing techniques, fonts, colors, and the excitement on couples’ faces when they hold their invitation in their hands for the first time. I officially made Becky J. Invitations my full time job on Jan 6, 2017 and I couldn’t be happier!
What is your best advice for a bride-to-be?
It’s easy to get overwhelmed during the wedding planning, so it’s important to decide what matters most to you about the big day and keep reminding yourself of it. Choose vendors who care about you and making your wedding as perfect as can be.
One of Becky J. Invitations‘ goals for 2018 and beyond is to have her invitations delivered to all 50 states and 7 continents! I love this goal, because I LOVE traveling. As creatives it is such an honor to say that our talents have reached different parts of the world throughout the years. Becky, keep up the hard work and you’ll get there!Â
What keeps you motivated to face the challenges small business owners face?
Honestly, owning a small business is a lot of hard work–every week brings new challenges–but I love the feeling of diving in, learning new skills, finding solutions, and ultimately making a high quality product that I’m proud to put my name on and making my customers excited about their wedding!
