Horsetail Falls, Columbia Gorge, Oregon. Oregon Bridal Session.
This was a quick session before sunset at Horsetail falls in the Columbia Gorge. I know that a ‘gorge’ is a valley that is often rocky with a stream, but I think it’s actually shorthand for gorgeous! Everywhere I have been in the Columbia Gorge is an amazing site. From the falls to the rocky terrain, it’s breath taking. Horsetail Falls is no exception.
Last weekend we hiked the Horsetail falls trail, we went about 4 miles. Of course everyone knows of Multnomah Falls, Horsetail is just past it. It was my first time hiking Horsetail Falls, and although it was a tiresome hike, I enjoyed it!
Fast forward to this weekend.
Since my time in Oregon was coming to an end, I really wanted to take advantage of my time here. I reached out to Katie, who I met last year while in Oregon just before her wedding! Katie is a sweetheart and I am so thankful she was able to meet me at Horsetail falls for a bridal session.
We met at 7pm, with enough light to get some great snaps, without having harsh sunlight. In locations like these, there is tons of shade, which is wonderful to keep out harsh light, but it also means it gets darker faster. Luckily we were right on schedule and were able to capture some of the amazing golden sunlight.
