Derek and Betsy’s Wedding | Grotto Bay Beach Resort & Spa Wedding | Hamilton, Bermuda
Betsy and Derek celebrated their love on the white sandy beach of Bermuda. They had friends and family fly in a few days prior to the wedding day; celebrating by lounging at the beach, dining at the poolside bar and rocking out to DJ led parties in the evening.
On their wedding day, Derek kicked it off with a round of golf with his close friends and family. Betsy spent the morning being pampered and sipping mimosas with her best friend Katie, and her sister Bernie.
After Betsy’s hair and makeup were finished her grandmother, mom, sister and bridesmaid helped her into her dress. It was an intimate moment between the five of them. Betsy gave each of them a special gift.
Betsy has an effortless beauty. Her hair glows golden, her eyes are bright and her poise is strong and elegant. She made a stunning bride!
Betsy and Derek shared a first touch; a moment where they are together before the ceremony, holding hands while not seeing one another. Since yellow was one of their wedding colors we used one of the buildings at Grotto Bay Beach Resort & Spa that was yellow, as their back drop for the first touch. It was absolutely perfect. Betsy and Derek exchanged gifts during their first touch and in order to decide who went first they played Rock, Paper, Scissors. If it wasn’t obvious to me already, this confirmed that they are one in the same and belong together! They continually chose the same, which was adorably sweet! I am so honored and happy that not only did they allowed me to capture their special day but also that I was invited to capture this very special and intimate moment they shared before they committed their lives to one another.
