Nick and Emily are pretty rad. I first met Nick at Bethesda Country Club, and shortly after I had the pleasure of meeting Emily. From the first time I met them I knew they were the sweetest couple. Nick told me his plan to propose to Emily while they were on a cruise in January, he showed me photos of the ring and I knew it was going to be super special for them.

In these photos Emily is wearing a dress that her future mother-in-law bought her a few days prior to our session. I think it is super cute and comfy. Emily is an easy going, low maintenance kind of gal and the dress was perfect for her personality. While Emily is styling her absolutely stunning engagement ring she is also wearing a bracelet made for her by her future mother-in-law. I may have to get my own bracelet, it’s so pretty.

Nick and Emily share a “you’re my best friend, and I am super comfortable to be myself around you” sort of love. They joke around, they poke fun at each other and they laugh often. I’m biased, but this is one of my favorite kinds of love; Philip and I are very similar in our relationship. I love when two people are so close that they don’t have secrets, they are friends and just all around happy together!

I can’t wait for their wedding! <3
