Today our sweet baby girl is one month old.
I thought it would be fun to share our very own Fresh 48 hour session. We welcomed our sweet baby girl December 16, 2019. We did our own photos in the hospital, I was so back and forth on hiring a photographer but this worked out well for us. We took about 30 minutes, maybe a little less to snap these. Neither of us had a lot of energy, poor Philip had a bad head cold plus the lack of sleep so we were just trying to take it easy. But I am glad we decided to go ahead and take these, they will forever be special to me.
I don’t know that I ever imagined being a mother. I had thoughts about it but I never fully explored the idea. As I was pregnant I played with the idea of being a mom but couldn’t really wrap my head around it. I will admit, the moment they showed us Meredith I was completely surprised she was a girl. I had one dream really early on during my pregnancy that she was a girl. And about three weeks before she was born, on a Tuesday, I remember coming home from work and thinking “I think it’s a girl”. But the rest of my pregnancy I had thought she was likely a boy. Not that I really had any inclination but I was definitely surprised when she was a girl!
Here we are, parents to a sweet baby girl.
She was 10 pounds, 3 ounces 22 and a 1/4 inches long.
