Featured Friday | To Put It Eloquently

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back for another fun Featured Friday post. You’ll enjoy today’s feature, I promise! : )

To Put It Eloquently is a calligraphy business that specializes in wood signs and day of stationery for weddings and events! Weather you’re looking for a giant wood seating chart, personal menu’s for each plate, or a mirrored welcome sign to say hello to your guests, we’ve got you covered!

To Put It Eloquently came to fruition after Rachel, the founder, DIY’d almost all of her and her now husband’s wedding décor. After their wedding, Rachel’s husband Matt encourage her to open up an etsy shop, and here we are a year later! Matt is the behind the scene wood worker, and Rachel is the calligrapher!

I love Rachel’s answer to this questions. What is your best advice for a bride-to-be? Don’t be afraid to dream big and let your ideas run wild! You only get one wedding day, so the more creative the better! Have fun with it!

Rachel works full time pediatric registered nurse at a children’s hospital in DC. She works 3 days a week at the hospital. In order to balance her personal and professional life she tries to keep her creating to ‘normal’ business hours. This allows her to spend time with her husband (newly weds!!) after he comes home from work.

What keeps you motivated to face the challenges small business owners face? The responses I get from my couples after delivering a piece I’ve created for them. I recently did table numbers for a special brides upcoming wedding, and when she saw them all finished she cried. She told me she had been dreaming of how they came out in her head for months and to finally see them in real life made everything so real. Reactions like that make this time job so so rewarding.

What is your favorite thing about a wedding day? Hands down the vows. Whether you’re reading vows that are prewritten from the church, or you’re reading one’s you’ve dreamed up on your own, the vows always have so much emotion when they’re being said. They really make you feel how in love that bride and groom are and it makes my heart so happy to witness them.

What characteristics does your ideal client carry? Big dreams and ideas and any pictures of what their ideal décor looks like.

What are your goals for 2018? I would say to be a part of as many couple’s special day’s as I can!!
